Today, Monday, October 6, a protest rally and demonstration procession were held at Hathazari Dak Bungalow premises under the management of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, Hathazari Upazila branch, in the incident of insulting the Holy Quran by Apurba, a student of NorthSouth University.
In his speech as the chief guest at the protest rally preceding the demonstration procession, Hefazat’s Central Nayeb-e-Ameer, Senior Mufti of Hathazari Madrasa and Muhaddis Muballige Islam Allama Mufti Jasim Uddin said, the heinous scene of insulting the Holy Quran by a scoundrel named Apurba, a student of NorthSouth University, deeply hurts the hearts of millions of devout Muslims in the country. Those who are doing this have done this provocative act out of ideological defeat.
The government should identify the instigators behind such incidents and bring them to justice. If the government does not ensure exemplary justice for this scoundrel who insulted the Quran, we will be forced to call for a long march towards Dhaka in consultation with the country’s top scholars.
Referring to the Al-Quran as a universal book, the education secretary and senior mufti of Hathazari Madrasa, the central advisor of Hefazat, Allama Mufti Kifayatullah, said in the main discussion that the great book Al-Quran is universal and universal. Regardless of religion, caste, and tribe, everyone shows respect for this holy book. And the Holy Quran is the standard of human excellence.
Although Muslims are a peace-loving nation, Muslims are constantly being harassed and provoked by insulting the Quran. But no Muslim will give in to the provocation of false forces, but will solve all problems through peaceful and united efforts, Insha Allah.
Hefazat-e-Islam Hathazari Upazila Branch President Maulana Mufti Muhammad Ali Qasemi presided over the meeting and Maulana Emran Sikder and Maulana Kamrul Islam Qasemi jointly moderated it. Other speakers included Hefazat-e-Islam Central Joint Secretary General and former Vice Chairman of Hathazari Upazila Parishad Maulana Nasir Uddin Munir, Hefazat Assistant Secretary General Maulana Zakaria Noman Faizi, Maulana Mahmudul Hossain, Maulana Sheikh Hussain Muhammad Shahjahan, Maulana Anwar Shah Azhari, Maulana Matiullah Noori, Maulana Junaid Bin Yahya, Maulana Nizam Sayyid, Maulana Joynal Abedin, Mr. Noor Muhammad, Mufti Masudur Rahman Chowdhury, Maulana Shakib Amjad. Jamiri, Mr. Morshed Alam, Maulana Hafez Abdul Mabud, Muhammad Rashedul Islam and other leaders.
After the protest rally, a huge protest procession started from the Hathazari Dak Bungalow premises with the participation of thousands of scholars and Tawheed people and circled the Chittagong Khagrachari Road, Hathazari Bus Stand and Chittagong Rangamati Road and ended in front of the Hathazari Madrasa.
