The untimely death of teacher Md. Jamat Ali, the pride of Subalpur village, is a cause for mourning everywhere.

Md. Jamat Ali (55), a prominent son of Subalpur village and a renowned teacher of Bastpur Dakhil Madrasa, breathed his last yesterday, Friday, September 19, 2025, while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka.

His untimely demise has cast a deep shadow of grief not only on his family, but also on the entire Subalpur village and teachers and students of Bastpur Dakhil Madrasa.

He was the eldest son of Haji Late Aynal Haque of Subalpur village. Md. Jamat Ali had been working as a dedicated teacher at Bastpur Dakhil Madrasa for the past 28 years.

He not only imparted textbook knowledge to the students, but also played an important role in shaping their moral and human values. His affectionate behavior, simple teaching method and his immense love for the students made him a beloved teacher to everyone.

The principal, teachers and former students of Bastpur Dakhil Madrasa expressed deep grief over his death. According to them, Md. Jamat Ali was an ideal teacher whose place will not be easily filled.

His funeral was held at the historic graveyard of Subalpur village today, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 9:30 am. Thousands of people attended the funeral, who came from far and wide to bid their beloved teacher and guardian farewell.

Teachers, students, local dignitaries, political leaders and family members of Bastpur Dakhil Madrasa joined the mourning procession. Before the funeral, the teachers of the madrasa and elders of the area paid tribute to Md. Jamat Ali by highlighting various aspects of his active life. Maulana Sirajul Islam led the funeral prayer and prayed for the peace of the deceased’s soul. He was then buried at the Subalpur graveyard.

Dear Md. Jamat Ali was a teacher, a social worker and a compassionate person. His life was simple and exemplary. The locals feel that the passing of a talented and philanthropic person like him is an irreparable loss for them. His memory and the ideals he left behind will remain in the hearts of everyone forever. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

The death of the beloved teacher has cast a shadow of deep sorrow over the family.
