Waterlogging has been caused in Tentulia upazila of Panchgarh due to continuous heavy rains overnight. As a result, 500 women and children of two villages, Saheb Jot and Mominpara, have become waterlogged.

After inspecting the ground, it was found that water is flowing over the road in the Mominpara area of Tetulia Sadar, causing extreme suffering to the common people.

On Friday (September 19) at 11 am, it was seen that most of the Saheb Jot and Mominpara roads were submerged in water. Due to the accumulation of water, serious suffering has been caused to pedestrians and vehicles.

Meanwhile, several families in Saheb Jot village have become waterlogged. Many cannot cook food on the stove due to water entering their houses. They have to eat dry food. They have been forced to take shelter in safe places to save their lives.

Locals are struggling to save household items.

Mobarak Hossain, Md. Azad, residents of Saheb Jot village, said that due to heavy rains, the stove in the house has been submerged in water, as a result of which people are unable to cook. The affected people of that village complain that they have to face such suffering every year during the rainy season. Due to the lack of necessary drainage system, water accumulates on the roads even after a little rain.

Tentulia Sadar UP Chairman Masud Karim Siddique said that they are monitoring the matter and have assured to take immediate action. However, the locals claim that this problem cannot be solved without a long-term plan.
