On the occasion of the second anniversary of the July Uprising, a mass procession was held today (July 4, 2026) at approximately 4:50 pm at the initiative of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Magura District Branch and under the banner of the 11-party unity alliance. The procession started from Nomani Maidan and reached Bhayna intersection while demonstrating.
Notably present in the mass procession were Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Council member Mubarak Hussain, former District Ameer and Central Executive Team member Abdul Matin, Magura District Ameer Principal Sayeed Ahmed, Nayebe Ameer Principal Mahbubur Rahman, Municipal Ameer and District Working Committee member Principal Ashraful Alam, former Sadar Upazila Vice Chairman Professor Faruk Ahmed, Magura District Chhatra Shibir President Zubair Hossain, Magura District Convener of Khilafat Movement Monirul Islam and Central Member of Nagorik Oikya Parishad (NCP) Md. Russell.
In addition, leaders and activists of various organs and associate organizations participated in the mass procession. The presence of approximately 900 to 1000 people was observed in the procession.
The mass procession ended peacefully at approximately 5:00 PM. Overall, the law and order situation was normal during the program and no untoward incident was reported.
