Grill mechanic Jahurul Pradhan was going to Katamor in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha by autorickshaw. Today, around 11 am, a local man named Ershad Ali and 2/3 others started beating the auto driver. Grill mechanic Jahurul stopped him. Ershad punched him in the chest.
Jahurul fell ill due to this. When he was brought to the Upazila Health Complex, the doctor on duty declared him dead. The deceased Jahurul is the son of Khalek Pradhan of Chak Gobindpur Charpara village in the municipal area.
Upon receiving the information, Gobindaganj Police Inspector (Investigation) Swapan Kumar visited the scene. In this regard, Gobindaganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Mozammel Haque said that the incident will be investigated and necessary legal action will be taken.
