A school student named Rabbi Hossain (13) was electrocuted to death in Kazipur village of Gangni upazila of Meherpur. The deceased Rabbi Hossain is the son of Keramat Ali of Mathpara of Kazipur village, a fourth-grade student of Kazipur Mathpara Government Primary School. The incident occurred at around 6 am on Sunday, September 14, 2025, when he was electrocuted in his own house.
Locals said that the power line wire was entangled with the door of the house. Rabbi Hossain was electrocuted and seriously injured when he opened the door in the morning. At that time, neighbors rescued him and took him to the hospital, but he died on the way.
Upon receiving this news, Abdul Karim, in-charge of the local Bhabanipur police camp, visited the scene with the accompanying force.
