With the theme of ‘Commitment to Social Security and Development’, VDP Day-2026 was celebrated in Jhalakathi along with the rest of the country.
On Monday (January 05) morning, Jhalakathi District Commandant Md. Ismail Hossain attended the District Ansar and Village Defense Force office as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the day by hoisting balloons and flags. Ansar and VDP officials from four upazilas were also present at the time.
A colorful procession was taken out after the inauguration of the day. The procession circled the road and ended at the Jhalakathi District Ansar and VDP office. After the rally, various programs were held by the Village Defense Force (VDP) members throughout the day.
Jhalakathi Sadar Upazila Ansar and VDP officer Nirab Biswas was in charge of the overall management of all the programs.
