Newly appointed Chief Justice Zubair Rahman Chowdhury paid tribute to the brave martyrs by placing a wreath at the martyr altar of the National Memorial in Savar.
He paid tribute with flowers along with other judges at around 3:30 pm on Sunday (December 28). After paying tribute, the Chief Justice observed a minute’s silence in memory of the brave martyrs. Later, he signed the National Memorial’s visitor book.
During the tribute, Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Md. Rezaul Karim, Dhaka District Police Superintendent Md. Mizanur Rahman, Savar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Saiful Islam and Savar Public Works Department Deputy Assistant Engineer Anwar Khan Anu, along with members of the police force assigned to security, were present at the National Memorial.
