The Upazila Committee of the Islamic Workers’ Movement Bangladesh has been formed in Dharmapasha, Sunamganj. A discussion meeting was held on Friday (December 26) on this occasion. The program was presided over by Muhammad Abdul Haque, convener of the Upazila Branch of the Islamic Workers’ Movement Bangladesh Dharmapasha.
M Salman Ahmed Sujan, Co-Organizing Secretary of the Sunamganj District Branch of the Islamic Workers’ Movement Bangladesh, was present as the chief guest at the meeting. In his speech, he said that the Islamic Workers’ Movement has been playing an important role in establishing the fair rights of workers, ensuring justice and building an exploitation-free society. He called for the organization to move forward in a more organized and dynamic manner.
After the discussion meeting, the chief guest announced the Upazila Committee of the Islamic Workers’ Movement Bangladesh Dharmapasha for the 2025-2026 session. Muhammad Abdul Haque was nominated as the President and Muhammad Zahirul Islam Zahir as the General Secretary in the announced committee.
Also present at the event were Islami Andolan Bangladesh Dharmapasha Upazila branch acting president Hafiz Maulana Azizur Rahman, Upazila secretary Maulana Sheikh Shamsuddin and other leaders. The speakers expressed their firm determination to work unitedly for the welfare of workers, protection of their rights and implementation of Islamic ideals.
