The three-day 1st reunion of former cadets of Joypurhat Girls Cadet College was held. Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman A Jel EC inaugurated the reunion program and took the salute at the reunion parade. He wished the cadets and former cadets participating in the parade success and prosperity and urged them to dedicate themselves to serving the country.

The Army Chief said, we have to be good people, we have to work with ethics and morality. Our dream is to produce many cadets. We want women leadership, we also want women empowerment. We have to think that 50 percent of the country is women, it would be wrong to think about the development of the country without them. That is why women need to be developed skillfully. Addressing the new cadets, he said, like their predecessors, they will work for the country and the nation.

Joypurhat Ex-Cadet Association President Moushumi Shikha said, if we have to work for the poor, then the purpose of education will be successful. Joypurhat Girls Cadet College Principal Ariful Haque also spoke at the event.

Joypurhat Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury, Police Superintendent Muhammad Abdul Wahab, college teachers and journalists from various levels were also present at the event.
