Police have arrested a drug dealer named Sujan Ali (24) with 102 pieces of Yaba in Baliadangi, Thakurgaon. Sujan Ali arrested Sujan Ali The police of Baliadangi Police Station have arrested Sujan Ali, a drug dealer, with 102 pieces of Yaba from Belsara Jhikra village area of Baropalabari Union No. 4 of Baliadangi Upazila.
According to special police sources, as part of the “zero tolerance” policy against drugs, a smart team of police conducted a drive in Belsara Jhikra village area of Baropalabari Union No. 4 of Baliadangi Upazila on Wednesday (October 29) morning and recovered 102 pieces of Yaba tablets and arrested Sujan Ali, a drug dealer, with drugs.
The arrested Sujan Ali is the son of Ziarul Islam of Belsara Jhikra village of Baropalabari Union No. 4 of Baliadangi Upazila. It is initially known that he had been illegally collecting various drugs including Yaba for a long time and supplying them to the surrounding areas. A case has been registered against the arrested person at Baliadangi Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act along with the recovered drugs.
When asked about this, Baliadangi Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Durul Hoda said that drugs are a terrible disease of society, which is pushing the youth towards destruction and is a threat to national security. It is not possible to build a safe and developed society without implementing the “zero tolerance” policy to eradicate drugs. He said that such anti-drug campaigns will continue in the future. The arrested Sujan Ali was sent to the Thakurgaon Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday afternoon through a police escort while wearing handcuffs.
