Teacher killed in head-on motorcycle collision in Salta

Today, October 19, 2025, a school teacher named Ibrahim Hossain (47) was killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Faridpur. Four people, including two school students, were seriously injured in the incident. The accident occurred on the Saltha-Sonapur road in the Fukra area of ​​Sonapur union of the upazila at around 10 am today, Sunday (October 19). The deceased Ibrahim Hossain was a sports teacher at Jogardia High School in Saltha upazila and the son of the deceased A. Rob Shekar of Paschim Kagdi village in Majhardia union. He is the father of two children.

According to police and local sources, in the morning, teacher Ibrahim Hossain was going to a scout program in the upazila headquarters on a motorcycle with two students. On the way, he collided head-on with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction at a place called Munsur Kacha in Fukra village, in which five people, including the teacher, were injured. Members of the Saltha Fire Service rescued the injured and took them to the Saltha Upazila Health Center, where the on-duty doctor declared Ibrahim Hossain dead. The other two seriously injured were sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. The two injured students were given first aid.

Upazila Health Officer Dr. Md. Shahinul Islam said that the teacher died before being brought to the hospital.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Saltha Police Station Md. Ataur Rahman said that teacher Ibrahim Hossain was killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles. Four more people were injured in the incident. The body of the deceased has been brought to the police station and legal proceedings are underway.
