An agricultural field day was held in Birganj Upazila of Dinajpur for early cauliflower cultivation. On Saturday, October 18, the field day was organized by Haque Genetics International in the Prananagar area of Sator Union No. 9 of the upazila.
Haque Genetics International’s Marketing Officer Md. Latifur Rahman (Bappi), local public representatives and farmers of the area were present at the event. At that time, the Marketing Officer said that early cauliflower NASA (45) cultivation has opened the door to new possibilities for the farmers of Birganj. By using modern technology and improved seeds, farmers are now getting good yields in the early season, which are being sold at high prices in the market, increasing the income of the farmers.
Farmer Muntaz Ali said that early cauliflower gets good prices as soon as it reaches the market and earns up to 35-40 thousand taka per bigha.
