Nawabganj (Dinajpur) Correspondent:
A workers’ rally was held at the initiative of the Nationalist Sramik Dal in Bhaduria Union of Nawabganj Upazila of Dinajpur. Leaders and activists of various levels of the Sramik Dal participated in the rally at Bhaduria School and College ground on Saturday (October 18) at 4 pm.
The rally was chaired by Upazila Sramik Dal President Ashraful Islam and was addressed as the chief guest by Upazila BNP Acting President Tariqul Islam. The main speaker was Upazila BNP Acting General Secretary Iqbal Hossain.
Bhaduria Union BNP President Nurul Haque Nuru, Upazila Jubo Dal Organizing Secretary Kabirul Islam Kabir, Bhaduria Union Jubo Dal President Kabirul Islam and Upazila Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Mukti Mahfuz and other leaders spoke as special guests at the rally.
A partial announcement of the new committee of Bhaduria Union Sramik Dal was made at the rally. In this, Monowar Hossain was given the responsibility of president, Humayun Kabir was given the responsibility of general secretary and Ariful Islam Arif was given the responsibility of organizing secretary.
The program was moderated by Jahangir Alam Khanja, general secretary of Upazila Sramik Dal. The speakers called for working together to increase the organizational strength of the party, protect workers’ rights and restore democracy.
