Hefazat protest march in Rawalpindi against Quran desecration

Hefazat Islam Bangladesh Rauzan Upazila branch has held a protest march and rally in protest of the insult of the Holy Quran by North South University student Apurba Pal in Rauzan, Chittagong and demanding the highest punishment for him.

Yesterday, Friday (October 10) afternoon, a protest rally and rally were held at the Munshi Ghata Chattar of the upazila under the leadership of Maulana Mufti Ibrahim Noor, Publicity Secretary of Hefazat Islam Bangladesh Rauzan Upazila.
At this time, the following spoke at the rally before the protest march; Hefazat Islam Rauzan’s International Affairs Secretary: Maulana Harun, Vice President Mao. Ibrahim Rahimi, Publicity Secretary Mufti Ibrahim Noor, Organizing Secretary Muhammad Mohiuddin, Commerce Affairs Secretary Maulana Saifullah, Literary Affairs Secretary: Mao Raihan, Co-Organizing Secretary: Mao. Mahmudullah, Dawa Affairs Secretary: Mao. Shuaib Arabnagari, Co-Propaganda Secretary Muhammad Atiq Ullah Chowdhury, Muhammad Mizan, Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Mizan, Mao Yunus Rahimi, Master Sohail, etc.

On October 4, North South University student Apurba Pal was accused of insulting the Quran Sharif. When the matter spread on social media, there was a strong reaction across the country. Later, the university authorities permanently expelled the accused student after an internal investigation.

At the rally, Raozan Upazila Hefazat International Affairs Secretary Mao Harun Rashid said, “We cannot accept any insult to religious sentiments. However, our goal is not violence, but to create awareness through peaceful means.”

Speakers at the rally also said that the heinous scene of North South University student Apurba Pal insulting the Quran has caused bleeding in the hearts of crores of devout Muslims in the country. The student himself committed an even greater crime by posting a video of the Quran desecration on his Facebook profile. This shows that he did this knowingly. We strongly condemn this incident and demand that the interim government ensure exemplary justice for him.
