Tarikul Islam (26) of Shalukdubi village in Khetlal upazila of Joypurhat has announced that he will take a bath with milk after failing in love. He is the son of Cherdul Hossain of that village. He took a bath with milk in the Biler Ghat area of Khetlal upazila on Friday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses said that Tarikul Islam went to the Biler Ghat area on Friday afternoon and took a bath with milk. At that time, curiosity arose among the locals after seeing the matter. At one stage, a crowd of curious people gathered there. He announced that he would end the love relationship by taking a bath with milk and start a new life.
Tarikul Islam told reporters that he once loved someone. There were many disappointments and hardships in his life surrounding that love relationship. At one stage, he decided to remove himself from that relationship. She said that she bathed in milk as a symbolic expression of that decision.
She also said, I loved a dishonest man. My life ended because of loving him. I suffered a lot. So today I am taking a bath in milk and am withdrawing from that love. I don’t want to be in that relationship anymore. I want to return to the good path instead of chasing love.
