The National Fruit Fair 2026 was inaugurated by the Honorable Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock, Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid, at the KIB premises in the capital.
After the inauguration, he delivered a speech as the chief guest at a seminar organized on the occasion of the fair. During this, he highlighted the importance of such events to increase domestic fruit production, ensure nutritional security and encourage farmers.
The minister said that the government has taken various initiatives to increase diversity and use of modern technology in the country’s fruit production. He mentioned that in addition to meeting the demand for domestic fruits, the potential for export is also increasing.
Officials of the concerned departments, agronomists, researchers and people from different walks of life participated in the seminar.
It is worth noting that various varieties of fruits produced in different regions of the country are being displayed at the National Fruit Fair 2026, which has created great interest among visitors.
