A village police committee was formed in Boalmari Upazila on Saturday (September 13) morning. Parameshwadi Union’s Dafadar Md. Kanchan Khalasi was elected as the president of the committee and Moyna Union’s village police Md. Ujjal Mir was elected as the general secretary. This committee has 21 members for the next 3 years. There are a total of 90 village police in Boalmari Upazila and 10 Dafadars.
A meeting was held at Satair Union Parishad on Saturday morning to mark the committee.
The meeting was presided over by Village Police Nurul Islam (Mohammad Ali) and Satair Union Parishad Chairman Rafiul Alam (Mintu) spoke as the chief guest. Prominent businessman and social worker Md. Selim Biswas, Parameshwadi Union Administrative Officer Zafar Molya, Satair Union Administrative Officer Md. Sirajul Islam Ripon, and Moyna Union Administrative Officer Mohidul Islam.
