The formation of the Union Committee of the Public Rights Council and a lively public meeting were held in Hajipur Union No. 7 of Pirganj Upazila of Thakurgaon. This event was held on Monday (October 18) evening at the Baganbari Bazar premises of Hajipur. The event took a lively form in the presence of local leaders and activists and hundreds of supporters from different areas.
Md. Anwar Hossain, General Secretary Md. Ikramul Haque, and Organizing Secretary Shri Khirat Chandra Roy were unanimously elected as the President of the Hajipur Union Public Rights Council. Through the announcement of the new leadership, the party expressed its determination to further accelerate the organizational activities of the union level.
Md. Mamunur Rashid Mamun, Central Senior Vice President of the Student Rights Council and candidate for the post of Member of Parliament from Thakurgaon-03 constituency, was present as the chief guest at the public meeting. He said, “The People’s Rights Council believes in the movement for justice, equal rights and transparent politics of the people. A united organization at the rural level is the driving force of future political change.”
In addition, Pirganj Upazila People’s Rights Council President Md. Abu Basar Babul, General Secretary Alamgir Kabir, Ranishankail Upazila President Md. Sohrab Hossain, General Secretary Md. Zafar Ali and others were present as special guests. They said that only by building a strong organizational structure at the union level can the People’s Rights Council be able to strengthen its role in national politics.
The speakers further mentioned that the main goal of the People’s Rights Council is to ensure the fundamental rights of the people, economic justice and administrative accountability. For this, responsible leadership and a dedicated workforce must be built in each union.
The workers and supporters present at the rally expressed their loyalty to party unity and discipline and pledged to further expand the organization’s activities in the future. At the end of the mass gathering, a special prayer was held for the welfare of the country and the people, which concluded the event.
