The 57th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Udichi Artists' Group, the forerunner of Bangladesh's cultural movement, was celebrated in Rajshahi.
The founding anniversary was celebrated through discussions and cultural programs organized by the Udichi Rajshahi District Parliament at Alupatti intersection in the city from 4 pm on Wednesday. The guests and Udichi leaders hoisted the national and organization flags with the national anthem sung by the artists in unison.
Then, under the chairmanship of Udichi Rajshahi District Sangsad President Zulfikar Ahmed Golap and moderated by General Secretary Shahinur Rahman Sona, freedom fighter Shajahan Ali Barjahan, People's Solidarity Movement Rajshahi District Convener Advocate Murad Morshed, labor leader Comrade Humayun Reza Jenu, Charan Cultural Center Rajshahi organizer Shamsul Abedin Don, and Udichi Rajshahi Vice President Ajit Kumar Mondal spoke in the discussion meeting.

At that time, women leader Kalpana Roy, CPB City Committee General Secretary Asim Sarkar Liton, BASD District Convener Alfaz Hossain Yuboraj, Udichi Rajshahi District Sangsad Vice Presidents Aftab Hossain Kajal and Ratan Bhattacharya, Treasurer Santosh Kumar, Co-General Secretary Ranjit Das and Sathi Akhter and others were present.
After the discussion, the audience was entertained by Selina Banu, Abu Taleb Mollah, and Prafulla Pramanik. Under the direction of Khaleda Care, the play "Rakhal Chele" by Sukanta Bhattacharya was performed by the child artists of Udichi. At the end, there was a mass song performed by the voice artists of Udichi.
In the organization of the founding anniversary, the leader of the Krishak Andolan, Ila Mitra, the renowned mass song artist of the subcontinent, Salil Chowdhury, poet Sukanta Bhattacharya, and filmmaker Ritwik Ghatak were remembered with respect on their birth centenary.
