Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor on Defense and National Integration Development, Lieutenant General (retd) Abdul Hafiz, visited various Durga Puja Mandap in Fakirhat Upazila of Bagerhat. During this time, he exchanged views with the respective temple committees.
On Sunday (September 28) at 4 pm, during the visit to the Durga Puja temple of the Mansa Kali Temple in the upazila, Ishita Saroet Meem, wife of the Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor, Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan, District Police Superintendent Md. Asaduzzaman, Major Md. Rafiqul Islam Sohel, Upazila Executive Officer Sumana Irin, Assistant Police Superintendent (Circle) Md. Rasedul Islam Rana, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Razzak Mir, President of the Hindu Upazila Buddhist and Christian Welfare Front Dr. Shibnath Rayu, President of the Temple Committee Rabindranath Halder Batul, General Secretary Bablu Kumar Ash and various officials and leaders of the temple committee were present.
Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Hafiz said that the law and order forces are on alert to ensure a smooth, beautiful and peaceful completion of the Sharadiya Durgotsav. With the cooperation of the locals, there will be no possibility of any untoward incident.
He also said that the biggest religious Sharadiya Durgotsav of the Hindu community has started in a festive atmosphere with the Shashti Puja. Police, Ansar and village police members are keeping a strict vigil at each mandap to ensure that the Durga Puja is completed smoothly. In addition, the army is on patrol. All measures have been taken to ensure that people can enjoy the joy safely and peacefully.
