The police have recovered the hanging body of a young man named Jihad Sardar (18) in Saltha, Faridpur. On Tuesday (October 14), the Saltha police recovered his hanging body from a mango tree in Singha Pratap village of Gotti union of the upazila.
The deceased Jihad Sardar is the son of the deceased Shahjahan Sardar of the same village.
According to the family sources of the deceased, Jihad was ill-tempered, mentally ill and had been suffering from respiratory problems for a long time. Without any reason, he committed suicide by hanging himself with a nylon rope from a mango tree on the north bank of the pond behind his house last night. On Tuesday morning, his aunt Jahanara Begum saw Jihad hanging while going to the pond and informed the family members. Later, the locals informed the police. The police went to the spot, recovered the body and brought it to the police station.
Saltha Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Ataur Rahman said, “On receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body. The body has been sent to Faridpur morgue for autopsy. Please take legal action in this regard.”
