In Bholahat, Chapainawabganj, a prayer and milad mahfil was held at 8 pm (December 8, 2025) at Kalitala Bazar in Gohalbari Union of the upazila due to the extreme illness of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who was repeatedly elected by the people’s vote and an uncompromising national leader against every injustice.
The chief guest at the prayer and meal program was Alhaj Md. Aminul Islam Amin, the BNP’s nominated paddy sheaf candidate for the 13th National Parliament Election 2026, and the Central BNP’s Industry and Commerce Affairs Co-Secretary. At that time, he was accompanied by former Upazila Chairman and Upazila BNP Vice-President Co-Professor Md. Anwarul Islam Anwar.
Former Ward 5 BNP President of Gohalbari Union Md. Ansar Ali presided over the meeting. Other participants included Upazila BNP Senior Vice President and Former UP Chairman Md. Mahatab Uddin, Former Upazila Vice Chairman Md. Kamal Hossain, Former Upazila Vice Chairman Reshmatul Aras Rekha, Former Joint Secretary Associate Professor Md. Al-Helal, Former Union President Contractor Md. Alauddin, Former Jubo Dal President Md. Belal Uddin, Former Upazila Volunteer Dal President Md. Asadul Islam, Former Upazila Chhatra Dal President Md. Mohsin Arafat Sunny and others.
Former General Secretary of Upazila Jubo Dal Md. Munsur Ali and former Chhatra Dal leader, former MP PA Kaiser Ahmed moderated the meeting. Later, special prayers were offered by Maulana Md. Abdul Majid, the Imam of Kalitala Dakshinpara Jame Mosque, seeking the health of the beloved mother of BNP leaders and activists.
After Isha, the leaders and activists of the upazila BNP and its affiliates held mass meetings with the local general public in various areas including Gohalbarihat, Kalitala Bazar, and former MP Alhaj Md. Aminul Islam Amin, the candidate for the paddy sheaf, and the leaders and activists of the upazila BNP accompanying him.
