Dr. Abul Kashem, the Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital, has been accused of using extremely indecent language and misbehaving with the guardian of a child who was raped. A controversial video of the incident that took place in the hospital's women's surgery ward on Thursday (September 18) has created widespread anger and criticism on social media.

In the video, doctor Abul Kashem is seen speaking in an ugly, insulting and threatening manner to the father and relatives of the child who was being treated for rape. He can be heard saying in the local language - 'This guy will go to the police station and stay there. Don't you understand! You go to the police station and stay there with a piece of paper. What a fool you are.'

He also said, 'You have turned the hospital into a zoo. Buy a blade and go home and make a fool of yourself. You have no respect or dignity. I will punch this son of a bitch and break his nose, and also provide treatment at the same time.’ Meanwhile, after the controversial video came to the attention of the civil surgeon, the accused doctor Abul Kashem was given a show cause notice by Saturday (September 20) night.

In this regard, Panchagarh surgeon Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman said that the notice has been issued seeking a proper answer as to what happened and why the patient’s family was treated in this way. Last Friday, September 19 was a government holiday, so the answer has been sought by Saturday. Since the matter is under discussion, after receiving the answer, it will be sent to the ministry and further necessary action will be taken.
