One arrested for drug trafficking including marijuana in Kaliganj

Police have arrested a drug dealer along with 100 grams of marijuana in a raid in the Tumulia area of ​​Kaliganj police station in Gazipur district.

According to police sources, on October 8 (Tuesday) at around 9 pm, based on a secret tip-off, a team from Kaliganj police station conducted a raid on the paved road west of the house of a resident of Tumulia, Wohid Molla. At that time, a person named Wohid Molla (45) was arrested red-handed with 100 grams of marijuana.

The arrested Wohid Molla is the son of the deceased Shahid Molla and a permanent resident of Tumulia area of ​​Kaliganj police station.

In this incident, SI (retd) Md. Ibrahim Sheikh has filed a case under Section 19(a) of Schedule 36(1) of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 as the plaintiff at Kaliganj police station (Case No. 12, Date: 09 October 2025 AD).

SI (retd) Md. Rigyan Molla is in charge of investigating the case. In this regard, Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Alauddin said, “The police has always taken a strict stance against drugs. Our drive to eradicate drugs will continue.”
