Massive preparations have begun for the arrival of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in Katiadi, Kishoreganj on August 16. Local MP Advocate Jalal Uddin, upazila administration and upazila BNP have already made strong preparations to make the visit a success.

It is learned that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the 'National Fisheries Week' simultaneously from Katiadi, Kishoreganj, virtually across the country on the occasion of the National Fisheries Day on August 16.

​In view of the Prime Minister's arrival and the event, Kishoreganj-2 MP Advocate Jalal Uddin visited the government fish hatchery (potential venue) located in Charipara village of Achmita Union of the upazila after Juma prayers today, Friday. He inspected the overall situation of the venue and provided necessary guidance to the concerned.

Katiadi Upazila BNP President and former Mayor of Katiadi Municipality Alhaj Tofazzal Hossain Khan Dilip, Upazila Executive Officer Shamima Afroz Marliz, Upazila BNP General Secretary Arifur Rahman Kanchan, Co-Presidents Mizanur Rahman Swapan and Shafiqur Rahman Badal, Joint Secretaries Mahfuzur Rahman Mithu and Shafiqul Islam Fulu, Organizing Secretary Khalilur Rahman, Upazila Youth Party Convener Mahbubul Alam Masud, and leaders of BNP and all its affiliate organizations were present.

There was great enthusiasm and excitement among local leaders and activists and the general public surrounding the Prime Minister's visit. The Upazila administration and BNP have informed that all preparations are being made to complete the program in an orderly and successful manner.
