Bangladesh Society Inc. New York, the largest organization of Bangladeshis living in the United States, celebrated its 50th anniversary in a grand manner. The festival was held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the famous venue ‘Terrace on the Park’ in New York with a colorful event.

Prominent figures of the Bangladeshi community, officials of the Bangladesh Embassy and Consulate in the United States, political leaders, journalists, cultural activists, and expatriates from various walks of life were present at the event. At this historic moment of the golden jubilee, the expatriate Bangladeshis in New York became intoxicated in an unprecedented festive atmosphere.

At the event, prominent educationist, social worker and educationist Mosharraf Hossain Khan Chowdhury was presented with a medal and certificate by Bangladesh Society Inc. in recognition of his unique contribution to education, social welfare and humanitarian activities abroad.

The Society's President and General Secretary presented him with the honorary crest. Speakers at the event said, "Mosharraf Hossain Khan Chowdhury is not just an educationist, he is a beacon of light, who has set an example in society through education and human service."

While accepting the award, Mosharraf Hossain Khan Chowdhury expressed his feelings by saying, "This award is not for me, but for all educationists, social workers and every person working for the welfare of humanity. I dedicate this love to the people of Bangladesh and our expatriate brothers and sisters."

In addition, a pleasant cultural program, discussion meeting and commemorative book were released on the occasion of the golden jubilee on the achievements of expatriates, the history of expatriates after Bangladesh's independence and the contribution of expatriates to society.

This historic celebration started in the evening and lasted until late at night. The event turned into a unique gathering in the expatriate community with a mix of Bangladeshi culture, music, dance and poetry.

In the final phase, the guests were honored, mementos were distributed, and a 50th anniversary cake was cut to commemorate the golden jubilee celebration of Bangladesh Society Inc. New York.
