A 'Meet the Press' was held in Magura on the occasion of the upcoming First Division Kabaddi League 2025 and 'July Shaheed Smriti First Division Cricket League 2025'. The Magura District Sports Association organized this event at the Magura Deputy Commissioner's conference room on Monday, October 13 at 4 pm. The upcoming Kabaddi League and Cricket League were discussed at the Meet the Press held under the chairmanship of District Sports Association convener Deputy Commissioner Md. Ohidul Islam.

The District Sports Association informed that an eight-team First Division Kabaddi League is being organized at the Nomani Maidan in the city in the last week of this October. In the same vein, the First Division Cricket League will be held in the beginning of November. 16 clubs from the district will participate in it. At this time, Kabaddi League Steering Committee Convener Kazi Ashiq Rahman and Cricket League Steering Committee Convener Zahidul Islam and newly joined District Sports Officer BM Sajin Israt spoke.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Ahidul Islam said, "Since the formation of the ad hoc committee last year, the District Sports Organization has been organizing various events. In continuation of this, initiatives have been taken to organize the national games of Bangladesh, Kabaddi and Cricket League. If these are successful, other games will be organized sequentially later." The Deputy Commissioner called on the sponsors to come forward to be a partner in this event of the District Sports Organization to advance the sports arena of Magura.

Two logos for Kabaddi and Cricket League were unveiled at the event. The guests present saw the two logos and suggested some corrections. At this time, the journalists present expressed various opinions and suggestions from their fields for the development of sports. Deputy Commissioner Md. Ahidul Islam accepted the suggestions warmly.
