The son of the deceased Rupa Sheikh of the greater Bajratek village of the upazila of Bholahat, Chapainawabganj, a fellow soldier of the heroic freedom fighters of the 1971 battlefield, has gone to the land of no return! (Inna-Lillahi………Rajiun)! He was (85) years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and numerous relatives and admirers.

He passed away yesterday at 3:30 pm on Thursday after a long period of mourning due to various diseases. He was engaged in various activities to support the heroic freedom fighters of the 1971 battlefield.

On the following Friday at 10 am, the funeral prayer of the deceased Madin Majhi was held at the Bajratek Sabja Pilot High School ground and he was buried with state honors in the local family cemetery.

At that time, the funeral of the deceased was attended by the renowned freedom fighter physician Alhaj Dr. Md. Ashraful Haque Chunu, former Upazila Freedom Fighter Commander Md. Monirul Islam Montu, Freedom Fighter Commander Md. Taimur Hossain, Md. Afsar Hossain and local freedom fighters.

A police contingent led by Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Md. Saidul Islam and Thana Officer-in-Charge Md. Shahidul Islam were present as representatives of the Upazila Executive Officer with state honors. A guard of honor was given to the brave freedom fighter Madin Majhi.
