The Late KM Obaidur Rahman 8-team Gold Cup Football Tournament 2025 has been inaugurated in Saltha, Faridpur. The game was inaugurated at the Gotti High School ground today, Wednesday (October 15) afternoon.
Under the chairmanship of BNP leader and former UP member Nuruddin Matubbar and moderated by Dr. Shamsuddin, former religious affairs secretary of the central Chhatra Dal, Md. Asad Matubbar, former vice chairman of Saltha Upazila Parishad, was present as a special guest.
Among others, BNP leader Dr. Shah Alam, Yunus Molla, Nur Alam, former agricultural affairs secretary of Nagarkanda Upazila BNP Khairuzzaman, Gotti Union Publicity Secretary Bakul Molla, BNP leader Ansar Ali Matubbar, Maqsud Ali, etc. Local dignitaries were also present.
The opening match was played between Faridpur Football XI and Gopalganj Football XI. Faridpur XI won the match by (01) goals to (00) goals.
