The new Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Bhola district, Dr. Shamim Rahman, participated in a lively exchange of views with the journalists of the district the day after assuming office. The exchange of views held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner on Wednesday (November 19) afternoon created an atmosphere conducive to strengthening positive relations between the district administration and the media - two important forces.
The meeting was lively and cordial in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Mizanur Rahman and senior officials of the district administration. About a hundred journalists from print, electronic and online media presented various opinions and proposals on the district reality and what needs to be done.

Senior journalists Alhaj Shawkat Hossain, MA Bari, Nazrul Haque Anu, Mokammel Haque, Umar Faruk, Md. Maksudur Rahman, Yunus Sharif, Zahirul Haque, Al-Amin Shahriar, Shahadat Shahin, Sagar Chowdhury, Abdus Shahid Talukder, Shimul Chowdhury, HM Zakir, Mizanur Rahman, Riaz Rabib Khan and many others delivered important speeches.
The new Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shamim Rahman said, “Bhola is not just a responsibility for me, it is a center of people’s trust and expectations. I want to build a humane and transparent administration where people can get services easily and with respect.”
He also said, “I want to move forward the development projects of the district quickly and efficiently. We will give special importance to the development of education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and law and order.”

Promising to stand by the journalists, he said, “You are fellow warriors in the development journey of the district. If we present information honestly and responsibly, we will be able to work in a coordinated manner. Development is the result of collective efforts.”
At the end of the exchange of views, Dr. Shamim Rahman sought everyone's cooperation in the overall development of the district, ensuring public services and protecting law and order and said, "It is possible to change Bhola by working together."
The journalists who participated in the meeting expressed hope that the humanity, vision and efficiency of the new Deputy Commissioner will bring new momentum to Bhola's administrative activities.
