“One day you built the land and the world, today I will build a dream - I will keep you close with care” - International Older Persons Day-2025 was celebrated in Belkuchi, Sirajganj in a festive atmosphere with this theme.

On Tuesday (October 7, 2025) morning, a colorful rally was organized by the Upazila Administration and Upazila Social Service Office from the Upazila premises. The rally circled the main roads of the Upazila and ended at the same place.

At this time, Belkuchi Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Afrin Jahan, Upazila Social Service Officer Debashish Roy, chairmen of various unions, government officials and employees, journalists and people from different walks of life participated.

After the rally, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila auditorium. The speakers said that the elderly are the respected guardians of our society. It is our moral responsibility to show care, love and respect to them. Everyone should be aware that the new generation should not forget the contribution of the elders.

Flowers and mementos were presented to the elders at the event. There was a festive atmosphere and joyful moments in the entire upazila premises surrounding the day.
