Chapainawabganj Correspondent:

Chapainawabganj Television has formed a human chain demanding exemplary punishment for the terrorists who attacked Somoy Television correspondent Jahangir Alam and Ekhon Television correspondent Sohan Mahmud while gathering news in Chapainawabganj.

The human chain, held at the District Commissioner’s office premises at 10:30 am on Monday, was attended by media workers and people from different walks of life.

The human chain, chaired by CTJA Vice President and 71 Television journalist AKS Rokon, and chaired by Global Television journalist Faruk Hossain, was addressed by Chapainawabganj Television Journalists Association General Secretary and Jamuna Television journalist Monowar Hossain Jewel, Maasranga Television journalist Dablu Kumar Ghosh, former general secretary of Rajashahi Press Club Advocate Aslam Ud Daula, Advocate Noor Alam Siddiqui Asad, and now television journalist Sohan CTJA President and News Twenty Four Television journalist Rafiqul Alam, who is out of the country for medical reasons, strongly protested and condemned the attack on the journalist over mobile phone.

The speakers said that while gathering news, 20 to 25 terrorists led by the terrorist Shuvo attacked journalists Jahangir Alam and Sohan Mahmud, who were still being attacked with foul language when they identified themselves as journalists, but the journalists demanded that the administration’s action against attacks on journalists will not bring any benefit to the country unless the situation improves. They demanded that the attackers be brought under the law immediately.

Incidentally, on the 27th, while recording a video of the torch procession at Rohanpur College intersection in Gomostapur demanding the cancellation of the candidate and gathering news, the gang of Aminul Islam, the initially nominated candidate of BNP for Chapainawabganj-2 (Nachol, Gomostapur and Bholahat) constituency, beat and insulted the journalists even though they identified themselves as journalists from Somoy Television and Ekhon Television.
