A human chain has been held in Khetlal, Joypurhat district, to protest the brutal murder of Tasnia Jannat, a third-grade meritorious student, and to demand justice for the murderers.
On Tuesday (September 23), at 10 am, the human chain and program were organized by students, teachers and guardians of Battali Sunrise Model School in Khetlal upazila at Battali bus stand on the Joypurhat-Bogra highway.
At that time, the students, teachers, staff, guardians and local residents started shouting slogans like "Justice, justice, justice, hanging, hanging".
The human chain and program were addressed by Battali Sunrise School headmaster Mahabub Alam, Mayor BNP convener Lecturer Abdul Alim, Jamaat leader Abdul Quddus, District Volunteer Party joint convener Taibur Rahman, Shalban Rahmania Hafezia Madrasa teacher Shamim Osman and others.
At that time, the speakers said that child Tasnia was a talented student. We want her murderers to be arrested as soon as possible. Otherwise, we will go on a strict movement.
Child Tasnia went missing on September 18. Three days after her disappearance, the Khetlal Police recovered the body of child Tasnia wrapped in a sack from the cowshed of the house of the murderer Ekramul.
In this, people from all walks of life, including the residents of the area, demanded the arrest of the murderers and exemplary punishment.
