A stakeholder workshop on health and nutrition was held in Nachol, Chapainawabganj. The workshop was organized under the Resilience, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Improvement (RELI) project of the Social Development Foundation (SDF) at the conference room of the Nachol Upazila administration in Dupur on Wednesday.
Nachol Upazila Executive Officer Md. Kamal Hossain was present as the chief guest at the workshop, chaired by SDF Chapainawabganj District Manager Md. Mahabubur Rashid.
Also present were heads of departments of various government and private departments at the Nachol Upazila level, local government representatives, and representatives of village organizations.

The president of the workshop said that the 'RELI' project is a project of the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Bangladesh, which is being implemented by SDF. He further stated that through this project, poverty alleviation, capacity building and employment creation through training, involvement of the extremely poor and poor population in income-generating activities through financial assistance, assistance in ensuring food security, creation of permanent and sustainable organizations in villages, provision of one-time grants to the underprivileged and helpless, construction of rural infrastructure, employment of unemployed youth, livelihood development, health and nutrition assistance and other developmental activities are being implemented.
In his speech, he informed the guests present about the overall activities of SDF in 50 villages of Nachol Upazila. After the open discussion of the participants, the chief guest Nachol Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Kamal Hossain distributed a total of 2,16,000 taka each to 9 meritorious students of the said upazila who received SDF scholarships.
At the end of the program, the chief guest declared the workshop closed by expressing hope for the implementation of the overall activities of SDF in Nachol Upazila through mutual cooperation and coordination with various government and private departments at the upazila level.
