A meeting of the District Task Force Committee was held yesterday (September 29) on Monday to implement the "Ma Hilsa Conservation Campaign 2025" at the conference room of the Chittagong District Commissioner.

In this meeting organized by the Chittagong District Fisheries Department, District Fisheries Officer Salma Begum gave a presentation on the "Ma Hilsa Conservation Campaign 2025". Md. Sharif Uddin, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Chittagong, was present at the time.

The government's instructions for implementing the Ma Hilsa Conservation Program for a total of 22 days from October 4 to 25 were discussed in the meeting.
Various public awareness programs related to the Hilsa Conservation Campaign, providing assistance to poor fishermen, and necessary preparations for conducting the campaign were discussed in detail.
Officers from various levels of law enforcement agencies, officers from the Department of Agricultural Extension, and members of the Fishermen's Association were present in the meeting.
