The auspicious inauguration of the “Football Tournament 2025” organized by Bhavaki Sonar Bangla Youth Development Club was held at 4 pm on Friday at Rahim Bakhas ground in Bhognagar Union No. 8 of Birganj Upazila.
Subash Das, a respected member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Birganj Upazila branch, announced the inauguration of the tournament as the chief guest. In his inaugural speech, the chief guest Subash Das said,
“Football, the traditional game of rural Bengal, is not only entertainment, it keeps our young society away from drugs and bad culture. Sports make the youth physically healthy, mentally cheerful and disciplined. This initiative of Bhavaki Sonar Bangla Youth Development Club is undoubtedly commendable and worth following.”

The following were present as special guests at the event: Birganj Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary Shawkat Julius Jewel, Upazila Jubo Dal Member Secretary Tanvir Chowdhury, Upazila Jubo Dal Joint Convener Russell Islam
Upazila Krishak Dal Office Secretary Dolayar, and many other local dignitaries, sports-loving spectators and well-wishers were present. At the end of the event, a joyful atmosphere was created among the spectators and players, and the football fans expressed their gratitude to the organizers.
