A terrible fire broke out in Dudhmahal, New Market area of Mymensingh division. The fire broke out around 2 pm on Monday (September 15, 2025).
Eyewitnesses said that smoke and fire were suddenly seen coming out of the Dudhmahal part of the market. Within moments, the fire spread to the surrounding shops. Upon receiving the news, multiple units of the Fire Service quickly reached the spot and started working to control the fire.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not immediately known. However, businessmen and ordinary people panicked and many rushed to safely remove the goods from the shops.
The Fire Service said that maximum efforts are being made to control the fire. No casualties have been reported so far. Law enforcement agencies are already at the scene and working to control the situation.
