Day-long Nature Fest-2025 held at Jabi

A day-long Nature Fest-2025 was held at Jahangirnagar University (JABI) on the initiative of Nature Conservation Initiative (NCI), a university-based environmentalist organization, with the aim of increasing environmental awareness among the youth.

The event was held from 8 am to 3 pm at Zaheer Raihan Auditorium of the University in collaboration with Envolide and GRM Consulting Services Limited on Saturday (November 1st). Jamuna Television was involved as a media partner.

At the beginning of the day, the inauguration ceremony, planting of trees and installation of name plaques were held, which mainly bear importance as a symbol of environmental conservation. This was followed by a drawing competition for children, a photo exhibition, and an exhibition of eco-friendly innovations by university students.

Later in the afternoon the participants showcased their knowledge on environment and climate change through poster presentation and quiz competition.

The most interesting part of the day was the Treasure Hunt, where participants hunted for clues across the campus. The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony and presentation of the awards to the winners.

The Vice-Chancellor (Education) of the University was present as the chief guest. Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman.

In addition, Professor Dr. was among the special guests. Sohel Ahmed (Vice-Chancellor Administration), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Monowar Hossain (Principal Advisor, NCI), Prof. Md. Jamal Uddin (Advisor, NCI), CEO Morshedul Bari, Envolide, Abdul Hamid (President, GRM), Md. Abu Rahat (Executive Officer, Envolide), Fatin Idrak (President, NCI) and Purnima Kabir (General Secretary, NCI).

Notably, through this event, the young generation is inspired to be more aware and responsible towards the environment as well as creating an opportunity to play a role in paving the way for a sustainable future.
