The Upazila Agriculture Office has seized fake Bengali TSP fertilizer made fraudulently in Damurhuda. The seized fake fertilizer was destroyed in the upazila premises today, Thursday around 5 pm.
These fertilizers were destroyed publicly in the upazila premises as no fertilizer existed in the chemical test.
According to the Upazila Agriculture Office sources, on receiving information from a confidential source, Upazila Agriculture Officer Sharmin Akhter seized 10 bags of Bengali TSP fertilizer from a van on the road in front of Damurhuda Madrasa on September 4. In this context, Upazila Agriculture Officer Sharmin Akhter said, “Our campaign against this fraudulent activity to cheat farmers will continue. We are taking strict steps so that farmers do not suffer in any way.
We request farmers to verify and buy fertilizer from a government authorized dealer before buying it.”
