A financial awareness and exchange of views meeting was held with customers at the initiative of BRAC Bank Agent Banking Outlet in Badaghat, a large business center of Tahirpur Upazila of Sunamganj. The meeting was organized by Messrs. Sunny & Mitti Su-Store on Tuesday (December 16) evening at the third floor of Haji Kalu Mia Market on Badaghat Bazar Main Road.
At the exchange of views meeting, chaired by BRAC Bank Agent Banking Outlet Director Selim Reza, BRAC Bank Sunamganj’s Agent Relationship Officer Choice Prince Chanda Sarkar delivered an awareness speech to the customers. He gave guidance on safe banking, digital transactions, the importance of savings and being careful of fraud.
President of Badaghat Bazar Merchants’ Association Nazrul Sikder and General Secretary Harun Or Rashid spoke as special guests at the event. Also speaking were prominent businessmen Abul Kalam Azad, Hafizur Rahman, Ali Mortuza Palak, journalist Kamal Hossain, RM Riaz Uddin of BRAC Bank Sunamganj SME Unit, SME Unit In-charge Md. Liton Mia Talukder, SME Unit In-charge of Dirai Upazila Ariful Haque, Relationship Officer Bishwajit Dey and Mahmudul Hasan Monir.
The speakers said that people in remote areas are easily getting banking services through agent banking, which is playing an important role in financial inclusion and development of the local economy.
At the end of the program, Hafiz Maulana Mojahidul Islam, Khatib of Badaghat Bazar Jame Mosque, conducted a Milad Mahfil and Doa to mark the three-year anniversary of Badaghat BRAC Bank Agent Banking Outlet.
