Crowds gather at BNP’s rally in Baradhul Union, Belkuchi

A huge public meeting was held at the initiative of Baradhul Union No. 6 of Belkuchi Upazila of Sirajganj and its affiliated organizations. The public meeting was held at the Alhaj Majirul Haque High School grounds in Gachchapari on Sunday (September 28) at 3 pm.

Md. Amirul Islam Khan (Alim), Co-Organizing Secretary of the Rajshahi Division of the Central BNP and Convener of the Conference Preparation Committee of Sirajganj District BNP, was present as the chief guest at the public meeting.

Md. Mahmudul Hasan (Shant), former Vice President of Belkuchi Thana BNP and member, Sirajganj District BNP, presided over the meeting. The main speaker was Md. Boni Amin, former member secretary, Belkuchi Upazila BNP.

In addition, Haji Jamal Uddin Bhuiyan, former president of Belkuchi Upazila BNP, Haji Abdur Razzak Mondal, former general secretary of Belkuchi Upazila BNP, Md. Nurul Islam Golam, former convener of Belkuchi Upazila BNP, Principal Abdul Mannan Sarkar, former joint convener of Belkuchi Upazila BNP, Md. Golam Azam, member of Sirajganj District BNP, Haji Altaf Hossain Pramanik, former convener of Belkuchi Municipality BNP, spoke as special guests.

In his speech, Md. Amirul Islam Khan (Alim) said, if I get the opportunity to be elected, I will give priority to renovating rural roads in Baradhul Union and building new roads. In addition, I will build a modern bridge in the Ajugra boat ghat area, so that the common people can move easily. BNP is the party of the people, we are always struggling to restore the rights of the people.

In his speech as the president, Md. Mahmudul Hasan (Shant) said, if Alim Bhai becomes MP, there will be a radical change in the communication system in Baradhul Union. Development works including roads, ghats, bridges will be as per the expectations of the people. We believe that if BNP comes to power, development and democracy will be truly established in the country.

The speakers further complained and said, “The current government has taken away the people’s voting rights. If democracy and rule of law are to be re-established in the country, there is no alternative to a mass movement led by BNP.”

The meeting was moderated by Md. Abu Taher (Lavlu), former member secretary, Baradhul Union BNP and former student leader Amirul Islam.

The public meeting premises turned into an ocean of people in the presence of a large number of leaders and activists of local BNP and its affiliated organizations.
