Journalists of Bholahat Press Club met with the new Officer-in-Charge Md. Ekramul Hossain, who joined Bholahat Police Station in Chapainawabganj, in a courtesy call on Wednesday at 1 pm.

Present at the time were Bholahat Press Club Vice President Senior Journalist (Executive Editor of Dainik Sangbad and Shomo Kotha 24 Ghanta) Md. Shariful Islam (Sharif), Former President and Member (Dainik Amar Sangram) Md. Rabiul Islam Rabbi, Member (Dainik Khaborer Dak) Journalist Md. Aminul Islam and Crime Reporter Md. Yakub Ali.

In a conversation with the journalists present at the Togbog Tukhor, the new officer-in-charge, Md. Ekramul Hossain, he said, “With the cooperation of all levels of people in Bholahat Upazila, especially your overall cooperation, I will control the drug problem even if I cannot eradicate it during my stay in Bholahat Police Station and will play a strong role in the law and order situation in the Upazila.”

The village home of the new officer-in-charge, Md. Ekramul Hossain, is in Shantidanga, Islampur University Police Station, Kushtia District. He joined Bholahat Police Station on December 8, 2025, from Ullapara Model Police Station, Sirajganj.
