Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus was paid a courtesy call by Pakistan's Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman General Sahir Shamshad Mirza. He met the Chief Advisor at the state guest house Jamuna in the capital on Saturday night.

A press release sent by the Chief Advisor's office said that during the meeting, discussions were held on further strengthening the existing cordial relations between the two countries as well as increasing bilateral trade, investment and defense cooperation.

The release further mentioned that they also exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
