The Gaibandha District Court has rejected the bail of Dr. Khokon, the accused in the rape and pornography case of Saghata Upazila’s female entrepreneur Sumaiya Sampa (35).
Although he was on bail for some time by the High Court order, rapist Khokon today (October 20) applied for bail in the Gaibandha lower court. However, after reviewing his crime, the court rejected the bail of the accused and ordered him to be sent to jail.
According to the case, Abdul Aziz Khokon (41), son of the deceased Anwar Hossain of Uttar Ulya village of Bharatkhali Union of the upazila and owner of Sefa Medical Store in Ulya Bazar, raped the woman for a long time under the pretext of marriage and secretly recorded intimate photos and videos.
Later, he threatened to spread it on social media. Sumaiya filed a case of pornography and rape (No. 14/335) with Gaibandha Sadar Police Station on September 9. It is worth noting that the victim, female entrepreneur Sumaiya Sampa, is expressing satisfaction with the court’s direction.
