Rajpara (Rajshahi) Correspondent:
A serious conflict has arisen between the partners at Rajshahi General Hospital located in Lakshmipur under Rajpara police station in Rajshahi. It is learned that the source of the conflict is the hospital's managing director Md. Humayun Khaled Shihab, who is the main culprit behind the irregularities and corruption. Although the hospital is a partnership business, Shihab is the main culprit behind the corruption.
The institution is being run jointly as per the agreement dated March 25, 2021. Currently, it has 62 partners. As per the agreement, Abu Sadat Md. Sayem (Raju) is the chairman and Humayun Khaled Shihab is the managing director.
According to the complaint of the chairman of the institution, Raju, Shihab had not been submitting the financial accounts of the institution for a long time. He kept delaying the submission of accounts on various pretexts. As a result, problems arose in paying salaries, electricity bills and purchasing necessary items for the officials and employees. Under pressure from the partners, he did not implement it even though he promised to submit the accounts.
Instead, on September 20, at 6 pm, Shihab, along with some of his associates and outsiders, entered the manager's room without paying the bill at the scheduled time. At that time, they behaved aggressively and later entered the chairman's chamber and vandalized the CCTV camera. There are also allegations of abuse, threats and death threats in this incident.
Later, Chairman Raju and other partners met and decided to take legal action. After that, a written complaint was filed with Rajpara Police Station against Shihab and his associates Jaber Ali, Shariful Islam, Yahia Khan, Al Hasan, Omar Faruk and Abu Sayeed.
Meanwhile, Shihab claimed to be the sole owner of the hospital, but could not show any proof. Although the joint business agreement was in the hands of the media, he threatened the journalist, saying, "Who are you, why should I show you the documents? I will show it at a press conference or in court if necessary." Regarding the allegations of breaking the camera, he claimed that if the institution installed a camera there without informing me, I could break it.
In this regard, Rajpara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Habibur Rahman said, "There is a dispute between the partners over accounts. Both sides have filed complaints. Legal action will be taken against the accused based on the investigation."
