A cleanliness drive has been held in Birganj Upazila and tourist attractions of Dinajpur. From Wednesday (September 17) morning, under the direction of Upazila Executive Officer Tanvir Ahmed, a cleanliness drive was conducted in the Upazila Parishad and tourist attractions with the participation of all the village police of the upazila.
As part of the drive, cleanliness activities were conducted in various areas including Birganj Upazila premises and the tourist attraction Sluice Gate of the upazila. This initiative has been taken to highlight the natural beauty and keep the environment beautiful.
Upazila Executive Officer Tanvir Ahmed said, a clean and tidy environment not only makes our surroundings beautiful, but is also very important for the healthy and beautiful life of people. Such initiatives will continue to keep Birganj more beautiful and clean. The cooperation of the local people is very necessary in this work. If everyone works together, our upazila will set an example.
Locals of Sluice Gate said that these places were abandoned earlier. The upazila administration has created a very beautiful and pleasant environment by providing seating areas for tourists three to four months ago. Currently, during the rainy season, the places were unclean due to some small trees. Now they have been cleaned and the beautiful and natural scenery has returned to its former glory. If such activities are carried out regularly, it will become clean and attractive.
