Principal Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has ordered to bring all investment promotion agencies under one umbrella to make the country's investment environment more dynamic and investment-friendly. At the same time, he urged to resolve the ongoing land rights issue in the Korean Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) by early next month.
In a meeting with the concerned authorities on Tuesday, the Principal Adviser said that it is important to remove administrative complexity and ambiguity to gain the confidence of foreign investors. For this, it is necessary to bring it under an effective and unified framework by coordinating the activities of various investment-related agencies.
He also said that if the land issues of the Korean Export Processing Zone are resolved quickly, a positive message will be sent to investors from Korea and other countries, which will help attract more foreign investment to the country.
The Principal Adviser directed the concerned ministries and agencies to take effective steps within the stipulated time and assured all kinds of cooperation to ensure an investment-friendly environment.
