Chapainawabganj Correspondent:
The Chapainawabganj District Administration and BRTA organized a check handover ceremony for the families affected by the road accident yesterday (October 23) at 12 noon in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's Office. Additional District Magistrate Anisur Rahman presided over the ceremony. Chapainawabganj BRTA Assistant Director (Eng:) Shahzaman Haque delivered the welcome speech at the ceremony.
BRTA Chairman (Additional Secretary) Mr. Abu Momtaz Saad Uddin Ahmed was the chief guest at the ceremony. In the speech of the chief guest, it was learned that a safe and developed road transport system is one of the regulators of a welfare state. In order to ensure safety on the roads, along with infrastructure development, everyone must be motivated to implement and obey the law. Recently, the participation of students in controlling traffic on the roads and resolving traffic congestion in different parts of the country has been widely appreciated.
I believe that the effective participation of properly trained students and youth in ensuring road safety will play an important role in preventing accidents, chaos and irregularities on the roads. If road transport owners and workers can understand the risks that defective motor vehicles, incompetent drivers without driving licenses, and illegal vehicles pose to road safety and come out of it, it will be much easier to fulfill the expectations of safe roads.
The special guests at the event were Md. Saidur Rahman, President of Chapainawabganj District Truck, Tanker and Covered Van Workers Union, Md. Abdul Matin, President of Chapainawabganj District Truck Owners Group, Md. Aminul Islam Sentu, President of District Road Transport Owners Group, Md. Abdul Khabiru, BRTA Motor Vehicle Inspector, Md. Abu Huzaifa, BRTA Mechanical Assistant, and others.
