The joint forces have recovered a pistol from Boalmari in Faridpur. The pistol was recovered from Babul Kazi’s house in the Dakshin Shibpur area of the municipality on Monday (September 16) night. However, no one could be arrested in the incident. On Tuesday night, SI Kamruzzaman filed a case under Section 154 of the Criminal Procedure Code 1898, making Robin Kazi (32) the sole accused in the case of recovering the pistol. Robin Kazi is the son of Babul Kazi of Shibpur area. Efforts are underway to arrest Robin Kazi in this incident.
It is learned that based on a secret tip-off, a team from the Boalmari army camp and the police jointly conducted a raid and recovered the pistol from a sunshade in front of the stairs on the ground floor of Babul Kazi’s two-story house. The pistol was kept in a silver pan. There was also a magazine with the pistol.
Boalmari Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mahmudul Hasan admitted to the recovery of the pistol and said that it is an original pistol. The police have filed a case in this regard, making Robin Kazi the plaintiff. Efforts are underway to arrest the accused.
